The Rainbow Warrior is what happens when subtlety takes a day off. Designed by competition angler Lance Egan, this flashy little firecracker has become one of the most effective attractor nymphs on the planet—and for good reason.
With a pearl tinsel body, a dubbed thorax that glows underwater, and a gold bead head up front, the Rainbow Warrior gets down fast and stands out just enough to trigger curious trout in all water conditions. Whether you’re Euro nymphing, fishing a dropper rig, or dragging it through pocket water, this fly flat-out works—even when it shouldn't.
Why it’s in every pro’s box:
Iridescent body and UV thorax attract fish in clear or dirty water
Gold bead head sinks fast and helps it hold in the strike zone
Tied on a strong barbed hook for solid hooksets
Great as a lead fly, dropper, or Euro-style anchor pattern
Effective year-round and especially deadly in winter or early spring
