Tide Rite R455 Blackfish SNAFU Rig

The Tide Rite R455 SNAFU Rig is a hand-tied two-hook rig designed for targeting blackfish, also known as tautog, with large whole crab baits. Two 4/0 SAMSU hooks work together on the same bait, providing a purpose-built presentation for fishing crab around structure where blackfish feed.

Two-Hook SNAFU Design: Two hooks are snelled to opposite ends of a short section of leader, allowing both hooks to be positioned in the same crab bait.

4/0 SAMSU Hooks: Hand tied with two size 4/0 SAMSU hooks for targeting larger blackfish with substantial crab baits.

Built for Whole Crabs: Specifically designed for presenting large whole crabs, a popular natural bait for blackfish and tautog.

Dropper Loop Connection: The center dropper loop provides the connection point for attaching the SNAFU section to your main rig using a loop-to-loop connection.

Built for Blackfish: Designed for bottom fishing around reefs, wrecks, rock piles, jetties, and other hard structure commonly targeted for tautog.
